Our Infertility Journey

"He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye the LORD."
Psalm 113:9
(KJV)

It seems that here lately, God has allowed my path to cross the path
of several couples who are struggling with the heartbreak of infertility.
Having lived through this for so many years,
I listen to their hearts, and mine goes out to them in so many ways.
I so want to give them hope that God does indeed still open barren wombs,
and He still sets the solitary in families.

On a link-up, I recently came across an interview with Caroline
who, along with her husband, is now facing and working through the pain and anguish of infertility.
Her interviewer, Lisa Newton at Amateur Nester, who is also struggling with infertility,
so graciously offered to listen to other stories.

The sweet Spirit of God spoke to my heart that it is high time I share ours....for His glory.

So, the interview was published today.
To God be the glory.

  2. Cheryl, I left a comment for you and Lisa at her blog. The interview was both touching and inspiring. I would never claim to understand God in all his wisdom. That said, I couldn't help but think our Lord, knowing your Daddy's appointed time, knew you would need his divine intervention to make it through such a loss. He always takes care of His children. And, the meaning of Zach's name, I nearly fell out of my chair. Yes, to God be all the glory and honor.

  4. I was there - and now I'm here. I just want to personally say thank you for the lessons on hope and faith. My husband and I have struggled with 8 years of infertility and it's been easy to think that we were forgotten and forsaken. But you reminded me that God doesn't do that. In all things, He gives us experience. He sticks to his promises on His time - not mine. So thank you dear Cheryl for telling your story. I envy your faith and appreciate your hope. I think I'll read your story (along with Hannah's and Abraham's) quite a few more times...

    All the best.

  5. Cheryl, thank you for visiting A Joyful Cottage, and for your sweet, warm, encouraging words. I spent some time on your blog and then followed your link to Lisa's blog. I was touched by your testimony and in awe of our powerful God. To Him be all the glory, praise and honor. He has given you a precious son and wonderful husband, and now an opportunity to minister to other women who are where you have been. Isn't that just like our Lord? He comforts us in all our trouble so that we can comfort others with the same comfort we have received from Him (2 Corinthians 1:4). It's such a pleasure to meet you, Cheryl. I'm a new follower now. God bless you and your sweet family. ~ Nancy

  7. Thank you for sharing this lovely story with us here at "Tell Me a Story." I have friends who tried for years to have a child and finally gave up and applied for adoption. Perhaps they relaxed and were less stressful, because almost immediately she conceived and their baby was born 9 months later.
