Prayer Request & Update on Baby Obed

"He took a little child whom He placed among them.
Taking the child in His arms, He said said to them,
Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes Me;
and whoever welcomes Me does not welcome Me but the One Who sent Me."
Mark 9:36,37
(NIV)

Bless his little heart!
What a cutie pie!
Please keep this little guy in your consistent prayers,
as he is scheduled to have surgery on May 18th.
You can read about Baby Obed, his medical condition, and his progress reports,
by clicking on the links below:

I still believe God can perform the needed healing without the invasion of surgery,
and I am still holding out hope for a Divine-intervention miracle for little Obed.
I also know that if it proves to be God's will for him to have the operation,
God's presence will be surrounding the little fellow and guiding the surgeon's hands.
He is SO tiny.
It is hard for me to imagine him having to endure such an ordeal.
Please, please pray, dear friends.
God is still on the throne.
***********************************
I would also like to request prayer for my niece, Victoria,
who is scheduled to have surgery early tomorrow morning.
They have found a mass in her neck, and, at this point,
they are unsure as to whether or not it is cancer.
Please pray for a good outcome,
for healing,
and for peace of mind during this trying time.

Pray hard for our nation!
Not only on this special National Day of Prayer,
but every day of life.
Oh, dear Lord!
How we need YOU!
Our world is in chaos.
The morals of our nation are slipping drastically and quickly down a mighty slippery slope.
Evil is rampant.
Hearts are full of fear.

Our hearts cry out to You for help, dear, precious Lord.

The verse that is coming to me so often these days is 2 Chronicles 20:12,
"O our God...we have no might against this great company that cometh against us;
neither know we what to do:
but our eyes are upon Thee."

Jehoshaphat, the Old Testament king of Judah,
prayed this prayer when he was faced with severe opposition and trouble.

I find myself uttering the same words...
in the face of the crises in our nation,
and in the heat of the fiery trials my family and I are personally going through.

What would we do without Jesus to turn to in these trying times?

Who could ever be so faithful, so consistent, so compassionate,
so able to give us what we need?

In Psalm 73:25, Asaph wrote,
"Whom have I in heaven but Thee?
And there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee."

And, yet another of my go-to verses in times of distress....

"God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble."
Psalm 46:1

Thank you for your faithfulness to pray and intercede to God on behalf of these requests.

  9. OK, I didn't think it was possible for Baby Obed to get any cuter. But I was wrong! That boy has a face that could light up the world! I will continue to pray for a surgery-free miracle, but if not that, then I will pray for the sure and precise hands of the doctors, and a wonderfully successful operation. God is big enough for even the tiniest hearts...

And, read above your comment about Victoria - praise the Lord! That is wonderful news. Hope her recovery is uncomplicated and fast.

Love you dear friend and fellow prayer warrior.

    GOD BLESS!

I hate SO badly to think of him having surgery, but as you said, God is big enough, Those nail-scarred hands hold Him close, no matter where he is. It was so nice to see you had stopped by. Love you so much, sweet friend. :)
